Wednesday, the 12th of August, at 9pm, presentation of the book La Mare de Déu d’agost a Sencelles. Història, patrimoni i festa, by Jordi Llabrés i Sans & Miquel Àngel Moncadas i Batle, published by the Fundació Mossèn Bartomeu Oliver. Also, the video  Alfabegueres i bellveures en el monument assumpcionista de Sencelles (5 min.), by Gabriel Carrió, Marilén Mayol & Gemma Cantador, edited by the Consell de Mallorca-Bisbat de Mallorca will be showed.

The permanent museum exhibition includes four pieces linked to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary:

Oliva’s tombstone with the Dormition (ca 1400)

Altarpiece of Our Lady of the Rosary (ca 1578-1579) of Mateu López Junior

Apostolate painting of a central table of a sarcophagus for the Virgin Asleep (ca 1580) of Mateu López Senior

Dormition (ca 1530) of Juan de Salas

Inauguration of the installation of Juan Carlos Rego Anima Pristinam in the Sagrats Cors church (9, Sant Gaietà street, Palma). The exhibition will be open from the 11th to the 18th of August, from 11am to 1pm and from 6pm to 8pm.
